> Share your code, your mate gets 10% off for a year, and you earn 10% of what they pay for 12 months. Where to find your code, how it works, and when you get paid.

Like Mucka? Tell another trade. When they sign up with your code, they get **10% off** their subscription for a year, and you earn **10%** of what they pay for 12 months. Everyone's a winner.

## Where to find your code

Tap **Share & Earn** at the bottom of the menu, just above Settings — or head to
[**Settings → Referrals**](/settings/referrals/referrals), which is the same screen.
You'll see:

- Your personal **code** and full **share link** (something like `app.mucka.ai/signup/your-code`)
- A **Copy link** button and a **Share** button
- How it works, in plain numbers
- Everyone you've referred, and what you've earned so far

Tap **Copy link** and drop it into a WhatsApp, a text, or an email. On your phone, **Share** opens the usual share sheet so you can send it straight from there.

## What both sides get

<Bullets>
  <li>**Your mate** gets 10% off their Mucka subscription for the first 12 months.</li>
  <li>**You** earn 10% of what they actually pay, every month, for their first 12 months.</li>
</Bullets>

The discount and your earnings both run for a year from when your mate subscribes.

## Customising your code

Want something easier to say down the pub? On [**Settings → Referrals**](/settings/referrals/referrals), tap **Change my code**, type a new one (letters, numbers and hyphens), and save.

<Callout icon="lightbulb">
  Changing your code retires the old one, so any links you've already shared with the old code will stop working. Only change it if you've not handed the old one out widely.
</Callout>

## When the discount applies

The 10% discount applies to **paid Mucka subscriptions taken out through the website**. It does **not** apply to subscriptions bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play in-app purchase, because those are handled by Apple and Google, not by us.

So if your mate is signing up to a paid plan and wants the discount, point them at your link and have them subscribe on a computer at the website.

## Getting paid

Your earnings build up as a **pending balance** you can see any time on [**Settings → Referrals**](/settings/referrals/referrals).

### Set up payouts

To get paid, you set up payouts once. On [**Settings → Referrals**](/settings/referrals/referrals), under Earnings, tap **Set up payouts**. That sends you over to Stripe, who handle your bank details securely. It only takes a couple of minutes: pop in your bank details, confirm who you are, and you're done. Come back to Mucka and you'll see payouts are active.

If you have to stop halfway, no bother. Your button will say **Finish setting up payouts** so you can pick up where you left off.

### When you get paid

<Bullets>
  <li>We pay out **once a month, on the 3rd**, straight to the bank account you set up with Stripe.</li>
  <li>There's a **£20 minimum**. If your balance is under £20 that month, it rolls over and adds to next month's payout.</li>
  <li>We hold each month's earnings for **30 days** before paying them, in case one of your mates gets a refund. It's a short wait that keeps everything square.</li>
</Bullets>

A couple more things worth knowing:

<Bullets>
  <li>Your balance is safe and keeps adding up, whether or not you've set up payouts yet.</li>
  <li>If one of your mates gets refunded, the commission you earned on that payment comes back off your balance. That's what the 30 day hold is for.</li>
  <li>If we've already paid that money out to you, we leave it be. You keep it. Your balance never goes below zero.</li>
  <li>Any money you earn from referrals is yours to declare. You're responsible for your own tax on it, the same as any other income.</li>
</Bullets>

## The short version

Share your link, your mate saves 10% for a year, and you earn 10% of what they pay for a year. Find it all in [**Settings → Referrals**](/settings/referrals/referrals).
