# Record an air conditioning service

The service record covers any AC visit — a routine service, a breakdown, a callback or warranty work — and leaves the customer a proper account of what was done.

## Fill it in

1. Start it from the job, or from [**Certificates**](/gas-certs) with **New certificate**, the **Air Con** tab, then **Air Conditioning Service Record**. If Mucka knows the system, the details carry over.
2. Say what kind of visit it was.
3. Work through the service checks: filters, coils, condensate, fans, electrical connections, controls, pipework and the leak detection system where one is fitted. Anything that does not apply is a tap on **N/A**, and a failed check takes a note and photos.
4. Any refrigerant added or recovered goes on the record with its provenance and the cylinder serial — that is the F-Gas paper trail, on the same form.
5. Take your readings in cooling and heating. They sit alongside the commissioning figures in the history, so a tired compressor shows up as drift rather than a surprise.
6. Note any faults, parts and recommendations, set the next service date, sign, and approve.
