> Moving from Fergus? Fergus puts together a full export of your business's data when you ask for it, and its reports download as spreadsheets in the meantime. Here's what to ask for, what to send us, and why to do it before the end of the month you cancel.

Coming across from Fergus? The Mucka team does the move for you. What we need from you is the data, and with Fergus the best way to get it is to ask: Fergus puts together a full export of your business's data as one compressed file and sends it to you.

We haven't moved a business off Fergus yet, so we bring Fergus data across by hand rather than with a ready-made importer. Tell us what matters most to you and we'll start there.

## Ask Fergus for a full export

Fergus offers a full export of all your business's data to anyone on a Full user login. Asking for one sends the request to their team to put together, and lets every Master Admin on your account know. If you can't find where to ask in the app, email Fergus support:

<EmailTemplate
  id="email-fergus-support"
  to="support@fergus.com"
  subject="Request for a full export of my data"
  body="Hi,

I'm moving my business to a new system and would like the full export of my business's data, please. Could you make sure it includes:

1. My customers and their sites, with contact details and addresses.

2. Every job, past and booked, with its notes.

3. My quotes and invoices, with their line items.

4. Every certificate and form as the finalised PDF, showing which job and site each one belongs to.

5. The photos and attachments on each job.

6. My diary: every appointment, past and booked.

A download link is fine.

My account is [your business name], and I log in with [the email address you use for Fergus].

Thanks,
[your name]"
/>

### Or ask Mucka to send it

If you've got the Inbox skill and your email connected, just say *"email Fergus for my data"*. Mucka writes the request, reads it back to you, and sends it from your own email address once you say yes. See [Ask your old software for your data](/help/getting-started/ask-your-old-software-for-your-data).

## The reports you can download yourself

While you wait, most Fergus reports download as a spreadsheet: open **Reports** from the icon at the top right, pick one, and download it as a CSV. Worth sending us:

- **Customer Invoice Report**, your invoice history
- **Certification Report**, a list of every certificate. Use **Export Data** for the full list. Each row opens the finished certificate PDF, but only one at a time, which is why the full export is the better route for the PDFs themselves
- **Recurring Jobs Report** and **Compliance Report**, if you use them
- **WIP Report**, the jobs still in progress

## Send them to us

Attach the files to a support ticket. Open [**Settings → Support**](/settings/support/support), or just tell Mucka *"I'm moving from Fergus, here's my export"* and it'll raise one for you. Send them as they come; no need to unzip, tidy or rename anything. If the export is too big to attach, send us the download link instead.

## What comes across

Your customers, their sites and your jobs are the starting point, and with a full export we can bring a lot more: invoice history, and certificates as the original PDFs on the right property. Because Fergus is new to us, we'll tell you what we've found in your export before we bring anything in, and check it with you rather than guess.

## Before you cancel

**Ask for your export before you cancel, and don't cancel Fergus until we've told you we've got everything.** Fergus locks the account at the end of the month you cancel, and after that you can't get to your data unless you pay to reactivate it.

Once you've sent your export, start using Mucka straight away. When we import, we add to what's there, and you won't end up with two of anybody.
