> When you connect a calendar, your existing events show on the Schedule as busy blocks. Tap one to see the detail, and turn your own events into a proper Mucka job in a tap.

When you connect your Google or Microsoft calendar, the events already in it get pulled into Mucka and shown on your [**Schedule**](/schedule) as grey **busy blocks**. That way a job you booked in your calendar doesn't clash with something you set up in Mucka. Those blocks aren't dead ends any more — tap one to see it, and turn your own events into real Mucka jobs.

## Tap a busy block to see it

Tap any grey busy block on the Schedule (week or day view, on desktop or your phone) and a detail sheet opens showing:

- The event title
- The date and time
- Where it came from — your own Google or Microsoft calendar, or a teammate's

Events from a teammate's calendar are read-only and may just show as "Personal time" — that keeps their private appointments private.

## Turn your own event into a job

If it's **your** event and it's confirmed, the sheet shows a **Convert to job** button. Tap it and Mucka opens the New Job form already filled in with:

- The **date and time** from the event
- A sensible **duration** (worked out from the event's start and end)
- The event **title** dropped into the notes

You just pick the **client**, **engineer** and **job type**, then save. For an all-day event there's no set time, so Mucka starts it at 9am — change it if you need to.

Once you save, the busy block turns into a proper job on the Schedule, and it stops showing twice: the original event on your connected calendar gets updated in place rather than a duplicate being created.

## Why you'd do this

New to Mucka and connected your calendar? All your existing work turns up as busy blocks. Rather than re-typing each one, convert the ones that are real jobs and Mucka takes it from there — reminders, on-the-day tracking, invoicing, the lot.

## Good to know

- Only **confirmed** events you own can be converted. Tentative or teammate events stay read-only.
- You need permission to create jobs. If you can't see the button, ask your owner or admin.
- Converting doesn't delete the original calendar event — it just links it to the new job.
