> Save & + Job sets the work up ready, without pretending it is booked in. The job waits at To Quote until you give it a date.

When you are pricing something up, it often helps to have the job on file already, so the photos, the notes and the paperwork have somewhere to live before anyone has said yes.

## Do it

Open the quote from [**Quotes**](/quotes), fill it in, and tap **Save & + Job**. Mucka saves the quote and raises a job for the same customer, attached to it.

## Where the job goes

The job is created at **To Quote**, and it has **no date on it**.

That is deliberate. Nothing has been agreed yet, so nothing should be sitting in your diary as though it has. If the job went in with today's date it would show up in the week view as a booking, your engineers would see it, and you would have a job in the calendar that nobody has ever been told about.

So the job waits. You will find it in [**Jobs**](/jobs) rather than on the schedule.

## When the customer says yes

Open the job and give it a date and an engineer. The moment it has a date it becomes a real booking and appears in the diary like anything else.

If you would rather Mucka did it, just say:

> *"Book the Beckett air con job in for Tuesday morning with Dave."*

## Already have a job for it?

Use **Link a quote** instead — that attaches the price to work that already exists, rather than raising anything new. See [Attach a quote to a job or a project](/help/quotes/link-a-quote-to-a-job-or-project).
