# Put the same note on the bottom of every quote

If you write the same line at the bottom of every quote — how long the price holds, what isn't included, your guarantee — you can set it once instead.

## Set it once

Head to [**Settings → Business → Paperwork**](/settings/business/paperwork) and tap **Quote footer**, under **What prints at the bottom**.

Type what you want on the bottom of your quotes and hit **Save**. For example:

> Price held for 30 days. All work guaranteed for 12 months.

That's it. Every quote you send from now on carries it.

## Where it shows up

- the quote PDF you email or download
- the print view
- the online quote page your customer opens and accepts
- the preview beside the quote form while you're writing it

Existing quotes get it too, as long as they don't already have a footer of their own — it's read when the quote is rendered, not stamped on when it's saved. So changing the wording updates every quote at once.

## Writing something different on one quote

The **Footer Text** box at the bottom of the quote form still works exactly as it did, and it beats the standing one. Fill it in and that quote uses your words; leave it empty and it falls back to the footer from Settings.

Handy when one job has an unusual condition — a price that only holds till the end of the month, say — and you don't want it on everything else.

## Not the same as your terms and conditions

The footer is a line or two at the bottom of the page. Your full T&Cs are a separate thing: Mucka adds those as their own page at the end of the quote, and they're set further down the same Settings screen under **Terms and conditions**.

Rule of thumb: if it's longer than a couple of sentences, it belongs in the terms, not the footer.

## Emoji don't print

A PDF prints in a plain document font that has no emoji in it. Put a phone or envelope icon in your footer and Mucka leaves it off the document rather than printing nonsense in its place — the words either side come through exactly as you wrote them. Settings tells you when there's something in the box it won't be able to print.

## Invoices have their own

The invoice equivalent sits with your bank details — see [Put your bank details on every invoice](/help/invoices/add-your-payment-details). They're deliberately separate, because most people want payment terms on an invoice and something quite different on a quote.
