# Correct a teammate's name

> Fix a misspelt name for someone on your team — it changes everywhere Mucka shows them.

Somebody signed up with a typo, or an import spelt them wrong. You can put it right yourself.

## Change it

Go to [**Settings → Team → People**](/settings/team/team) and open the person's card. The **Name** box is at the top — correct it and click or tap away. It saves on its own.

Their initials follow the new name, and the diary, job sheets and anything Mucka sends from then on use it.

## Good to know

- **You need to be able to manage the team** — owners and managers can by default. If you can't see the Name box, that's why.
- **It works for people without a login too**, such as teammates brought in from an import.
- **Your own name** lives on your Profile, and you can change it there any time.
- **A name can't be blank.** Mucka puts the old one back if you clear the box.
