> When the login page won't let you through. Common causes and the recovery path for each.

If you're stuck on the [login page](/login), the answer's usually one of five things. Work through them in order, you'll be back in within a minute or two.

## 1. Wrong email or password

Most common one. Mucka shows "Invalid login credentials" or similar.

What to try:

- **Check the email** is spelled right, including the bit after the @
- **Try a password manager** if you use one (1Password, Apple Passwords, etc.). It often has the right password saved.
- **Caps Lock check** on the password
- **Use Forgot password** (link below the login form) if you genuinely don't remember. Resets via email in a minute.

## 2. Email not confirmed

If you've just signed up and clicking Sign in shows "Please confirm your email address", Mucka sent you a confirmation email when you registered.

- Check your inbox (and spam folder) for an email from Mucka
- Tap **Resend confirmation email** on the login page if it never arrived
- Click the confirmation link, then try logging in again

If the confirmation link says "Expired", request a new one. They're good for 24 hours.

Don't sign up a second time to get another email — you don't need to, and you'd
end up with two half-set-up businesses to untangle. If you're still on the
"You're in!" screen after signing up, **Send it again** is right there. Otherwise
use the login page.

## 3. Password reset link not working

Common when the reset link came through Outlook or some other corporate email. Outlook has a feature called SafeLinks that wraps URLs, sometimes burning the reset token on the way through.

What to try:

- **Open the link in a different browser** (the one you'd normally log into Mucka with). Don't right-click and copy, just tap it directly.
- **Request a fresh reset link** if the first one says expired. They're single-use.
- **Try in incognito / private browsing** if your normal browser keeps redirecting to "already logged in"

If you're getting "invalid link" errors repeatedly, your email provider might be pre-fetching the link to check for spam, which burns the token. Use Gmail or Apple Mail to receive Mucka emails if your work email is doing this.

## 4. Account locked

If you've tried the wrong password too many times in a row, Mucka temporarily locks the login to stop someone guessing. Wait 15 minutes and try again, or use Forgot password to reset instead.

## 5. App stuck on login screen even after entering correct details

Usually a stale browser session. Try:

- **Hard refresh** (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows)
- **Clear cookies for app.mucka.ai** (browser settings → privacy → cookies)
- **Try a different browser** to confirm it's a browser issue
- **Sign out properly** from the working browser, then back in

On the iPhone or Android app, force-close the app and reopen. If that doesn't help, uninstall and reinstall (you won't lose any data, your account lives on the server).
