Book another job off the back of this one

Spotted a repair on a service? Book it from the job you're on, with the customer, address and engineer already filled in.

Walkthrough coming soon
90-second video. We're recording these now.

You're finishing a boiler service and spot that the diverter valve needs replacing. You can book that repair straight from the service, without going back to the diary and finding the customer again.

Book it

  1. On the job, tap Another job. It's with No access, Cost and Parts on your phone, and with the job's other buttons on a computer.
  2. The New Job sheet opens over the job. It says Following on from the job you came from, and the customer, the address and the engineer are already filled in.
  3. Pick the job type, say what the job is, and pick a day, or leave the date empty to book it in later.
  4. If you have Parts switched on, add the parts it needs under Parts needed. See Keep track of the parts a job needs.
  5. Tap Create.

You need to be able to book jobs to see Another job. Nothing is sent to the customer that a normal booking wouldn't send.

On a finished service

On the phone app, once a service is marked done, its To do asks Anything else to book in? Tap it to open the same sheet. It stops asking once something has been booked off that service.

The two jobs stay linked

The service shows Booked off the back of this with the new job, its date and whether it's pencilled in. The new job shows Following on from the service. Tap either one to go to the other.

Only people who can see every job see these links.
