When you raise an invoice from a quote, Mucka joins the two and the quote counts as won. Raise the invoice some other way, from a blank invoice or from the job, and the quote is left at Sent: still in Pipeline, still being chased, and counted as a loss. Linking them fixes all three.
From the quote
Open the quote and choose Invoiced separately. On a computer it's under the status beside the document; on a phone it's in the actions at the bottom. Pick the invoice from that customer's list and press Link invoice.
You'll only see invoices that aren't linked to a quote yet.
From the invoice
Open the invoice and choose Which quote was this for?. On a computer it's at the bottom of the invoice, next to Void; on a phone it's in the actions. Pick the quote and press Link quote.
What happens
- The quote moves to Accepted and counts as won, so it leaves Pipeline and Mucka stops chasing it.
- A quote you marked Rejected or Withdrawn keeps that status. The link is still made.
- A quote that still offers the customer a choice they haven't made stays as it is, so Mucka doesn't pick their option for them.
When it won't link
- They're for different customers. Check you've opened the right one.
- The invoice is already linked to another quote. An invoice belongs to one quote. A quote can have several invoices, such as a deposit and the balance.
- The invoice is cancelled.
