Remove someone from your team

Offboard a team member who's left, and hand their upcoming jobs to someone else in the same step.

Walkthrough coming soon
90-second video. We're recording these now.

When someone leaves, you can take them off your workspace and pass their work to the rest of the team in one go.

Remove a member

Head to Settings → Team. Each member has a Remove button (you'll only see it if you can manage the team). Tap it to open the offboard window.

If the person is the lead on any upcoming jobs, Mucka lists them so nothing falls through the cracks. For each job you can:

  • Pick who takes it over from the rest of your assignable team, or
  • Leave it unassigned to sort out later.

Tap Remove member and Mucka applies your choices and takes the person off the workspace.

What happens to their work

  • Reassigned jobs move straight to the new owner you picked.
  • Anything you left unassigned stays on the schedule with no lead, ready for you to assign whenever.
  • Past and completed jobs keep their history. Removing the person doesn't delete the work they did.
  • Quotes and invoices they raised stay on file.

Good to know

  • You can't remove yourself, and owners can't be removed. To replace an owner, change their role first (or transfer ownership), then remove them.
  • It frees up a seat. If you're billed per user, removing a member lowers your next bill.
  • It's not a soft delete. If they come back, invite them again from the same Team page.
