Two questions every owner asks about the team: who gets it right first time, and whose work actually makes money. The Engineers tab answers both, a month at a time.
Find it
Open Revenue Reports and tap Engineers. On a phone with the new glass look the same tab is called Team, so all four tabs fit across the screen. Use the arrows to move between months. You need the permission to see revenue reports, so engineers never see each other's figures.
What each row shows
- Jobs done. Jobs the engineer finished that month. A job counts against the one engineer it's assigned to.
- Recalls and recall rate. How many of those jobs had the customer back on the phone, and what share that is.
- Earned, cost and margin. What their jobs were invoiced for, what was spent on them, and what's left as a percentage.
What counts as a recall
A recall is a breakdown, repair, leak or call-out booked at the same address within 30 days of a finished job. It counts once against whoever finished that job.
These don't count, on purpose:
- The next stage of the same work: second fix, finishing off, another day on site.
- Installs, services and service plan visits. That's the diary doing its job.
- Anything after a quote visit, because that's the work you won.
A month stays marked still counting until 30 days after it ends, because a job finished on the 30th can still be called back.
Where the money comes from
- Earned is what you've invoiced for those jobs. If none of that engineer's jobs that month are invoiced yet, it uses their accepted quotes instead.
- Cost is the materials recorded on the jobs plus approved timesheet hours.
- Margin only shows when wages are included, which needs Timesheets switched on, permission to see everyone's hours, and hours logged against that engineer's jobs. A margin worked out on materials alone would flatter everyone, so Mucka leaves it blank and tells you why.
You need the permission to see job costs to see any money on this tab. Without it you still see jobs and recalls.
