PartsArena Pro is the app a lot of engineers already use to find the right part for a boiler. Mucka can open it from the job you're on, and bring back whatever you pick onto that job's parts list, so nobody types a part number twice.
PartsArena is being tried out with a few businesses before it goes on general release, so we switch it on for you. If you would like to use it, raise a ticket and we will. It comes with the Parts & Van Stock skill, which we switch on at the same time.
What you need
- A PartsArena Pro subscription. Mucka doesn't include PartsArena. If you already pay for PartsArena Pro, you use your existing login, as you do now.
- The PartsArena Pro app on the same phone as Mucka, signed in.
- The Mucka app on your phone. There's no PartsArena button on a computer.
20% off PartsArena Pro for Mucka users
If you don't have PartsArena Pro yet, PartsArena (Infomill) give Mucka users 20% off the annual subscription: £246.66 + VAT a year instead of £308.33 + VAT. The annual plan is the best value, but you can still pay monthly at their normal price if you'd rather.
To claim it, raise a ticket and we'll arrange it with PartsArena. If you have several engineers who'd need it, say so in the ticket, as PartsArena look at bigger teams separately.
Find the parts
- In Mucka, open the job and tap Parts.
- Tap Find them in PartsArena. PartsArena Pro opens with a work order named after the job, the job's reference if it has one. If the property has one appliance on its register with a GC number, it opens at that boiler.
- Find the parts in PartsArena and add them to that work order, with how many you need.
- Share the work order and pick Mucka from PartsArena's list.
Mucka comes back to the same job with the parts form open and your parts filled in. Each line says what the part is, whose it is and its numbers, for example Diverter valve (Worcester 87161234, GC E66-123), so whoever orders it doesn't need to open PartsArena.
- Check the list. Take off anything you don't want, change a quantity, and fill in where it's coming from and how it arrives, as you would for any part.
- Tap Save parts.
Nothing is saved until you tap Save parts. From there they're ordinary parts on the job: they show on the Parts page, on the morning pick-up list, and the job says Waiting for parts until they're in. See Keep track of the parts a job needs.
If something doesn't go to plan
- "PartsArena didn't open." The PartsArena Pro app isn't on this phone, or isn't signed in. Install it, sign in, and tap the button again.
- Mucka didn't come back on its own. Open Mucka and go to the job. The parts are waiting there and the form opens with them in.
- "These weren't marked for this job." PartsArena sent parts that weren't on the work order for this job, so everything on your Required Parts list came across. Take off any that aren't for this job before you save.
- You shared more than one work order. Only the parts on this job's work order come across. The others are left alone.
- You left it a long time. Each tap of the button is good for 12 hours. After that, tap Find them in PartsArena again before you share.
What we send PartsArena
Only the job's reference, what the job is, and the boiler's GC number when there's one. We don't send your customer's name or address.
What it doesn't do
Mucka can't search PartsArena itself, show its diagrams or read its manuals. Prices don't come across, so what a part cost goes on the job's Materials when you've bought it.
