When you send a quote or invoice by email or text, the customer gets a link to their own page for it. Mucka notes when that page is opened, so you know whether "not paid yet" means "hasn't looked" or "has looked and is sitting on it".
On the list
Each sent quote and invoice has a second badge beside its status:
- Not opened — it went out with a link and nobody has opened it yet.
- Opened 30 Sep — the date it was last opened.
On a computer the badge sits under the status; on your phone it sits to the right of it.
Once an invoice is paid, Not opened drops off, since it no longer matters. Opened stays.
Inside the document
Open the quote or invoice and look under Dates. The Opened line always says one of:
- Not sent — it hasn't gone out yet.
- Sent, not opened yet — the link hasn't been opened.
- 30 Sep, 2:32 pm — when it was last opened, with how many times if it's been more than once.
- Can't tell — sent without a link — it went out as a PDF attachment only, or by post, so there's no page for Mucka to watch.
Worth knowing
"Opened" means somebody opened the link. It doesn't prove they read every line, and it doesn't mean they've agreed to anything. If you want to know whether a PDF-only send has been seen, send it again with the link included.
