Tell Mucka you sent a quote yourself

Read it out on the phone, handed it over on the doorstep, or posted it? Say so and Mucka records it as sent, so it counts as live work and gets chased if it goes quiet.

90-second video. We're recording these now.

Not every quote goes out by email. Plenty get read down the phone, handed over on the doorstep, texted as a photo or put in the post — and until you tell Mucka, that quote is still sitting there as a draft.

That matters more than it sounds, because a draft is invisible to the chasing. Mucka only follows up quotes it knows have gone out. Leave four quotes in draft and that's four customers nobody nudges, and four numbers missing from what you think is out there.

Just say so

Tell Mucka, however you normally talk to it — in the app, on WhatsApp, or out loud:

"I've sent Q-124"

"Sent all of those this morning"

"Gave Ricky his on site yesterday"

Mucka records it as sent, dated today, and says so plainly. From there it behaves exactly like a quote you emailed: it counts as live work, it shows on your pipeline, and if it goes quiet for a week Mucka will offer to chase it.

You can do the same on an invoice — "I posted that one" — and the payment terms start running from that day.

Mucka didn't send anything, and won't pretend it did

This only records what you did. No email leaves the building, and Mucka will tell you as much: it will say it's recorded it, not that it sent it.

If you actually want Mucka to email the thing, ask for that instead — "send Q-124 to Ricky" — and it'll do the sending itself.

You don't need an email address on file

This is the bit that trips people up. Whether Mucka holds an email for that customer decides whether Mucka can email them. It's got nothing to do with whether you already got the quote to them.

So if there's no email on the customer's record, that's fine — say you've sent it and Mucka records it. Don't put a made-up address on the customer just to make it work, because from then on Mucka may email chases to it.

Doing it in the app instead

Open the quote and change its status to Sent in the status field. Same result.

One thing Mucka won't do is re-date a quote that's already marked sent — if it's down as gone out, it stays with the date it went, so "we think this went out" never quietly turns into a precise time it didn't.
