Mucka sends a few things off its own bat: a morning briefing, an end-of-day summary, the odd notepad reminder, and a gentle chase when a quote or invoice needs attention. You decide which of these you get, when they land, and whether they only come on weekdays.
Set it in the app
Head to Settings → Notifications.
- Briefings. Turn the morning briefing and end-of-day summary on or off, and set the time each one sends.
- Nudges. Turn the notepad reminder on or off and pick its time.
- Weekdays only. Under "When Mucka messages you", flip Weekdays only on to get briefings, notepad reminders and chase prompts Monday to Friday only. Saturdays and Sundays stay quiet.
Times are your own local time, and every person on the team sets their own.
Or just ask Mucka on WhatsApp
You don't have to dig through settings. If your WhatsApp is paired (see Set up WhatsApp), tell Mucka in plain English and it'll make the change:
- "Send my morning briefing at 8."
- "Move the evening summary to 6pm."
- "Turn off the notepad reminder."
- "Only message me on weekdays."
- "Go back to messaging me every day."
Mucka changes the setting and confirms what it did. It only touches the setting you mention and leaves the rest alone.
Weekdays only vs pausing
These are two different things:
- Weekdays only keeps the messages coming Monday to Friday and goes quiet at the weekend.
- "Back off" / pausing stops all proactive messages until you say carry on. Just tell Mucka "stop these messages" to pause, or "you can start again" to resume.
What weekends-only does and doesn't affect
Weekdays only covers the messages Mucka starts on a schedule: briefings, notepad reminders, and quote/invoice chases.
It does not silence time-sensitive event alerts. If a customer pays an invoice on a Saturday, or a job gets assigned to you over the weekend, that still comes through, because it's news you'd want there and then.
Common gotchas
- Nothing on a Saturday? That's weekdays-only doing its job. Turn it off in Settings → Notifications, or tell Mucka "message me every day", to get the weekend briefings back.
- No briefing at all on a weekday? Check the briefing itself is switched on, and that WhatsApp is still paired under Settings → Integrations.
- Times look an hour out? Times follow UK time and shift with the clocks. Set the time you actually want it to arrive and Mucka keeps to it through the seasons.
