Bosch Knowledge lets you ask Mucka a technical question about a Worcester Bosch boiler, heat pump, cylinder, flue or control. Mucka answers from Worcester Bosch's own professional literature: their installation and servicing manuals, spec sheets, schematics and current technical bulletins.
Turn it on
Go to Mucka Skills, find Bosch Knowledge and tap Install. It costs nothing extra, and everyone on your team can use it in the Mucka chat, on WhatsApp and when they talk to Mucka in the app or on the phone.
What you can ask
- A fault code: "Greenstar 4000 showing EA 227, what do I check?"
- Flues and clearances: "Max flue length on an 8000 with two 90s?" or "How close can the terminal be to an opening window?"
- Gas rates and settings: "What CO2 should a Greenstar 1000 read on max?"
- Commissioning and servicing steps: "How do I set the pump speed on a 30i system?"
- Wiring: "Which terminal does the outdoor sensor go on?"
Say the model if you know it. If you know roughly when the boiler was made, say that too. It is on the data badge.
How it answers
- It answers from the manual, and says which page. In the app, the manual opens at that page so you can see it for yourself. On a call, Mucka tells you the page number.
- A technical bulletin comes first. When Worcester has issued a bulletin that changes what the manual says, Mucka goes with the bulletin and gives its reference and date.
- It asks when the boiler was made if the manual changed between production years and the answer depends on which version you have.
- It only answers from what it found. If the manual does not cover your question, Mucka says so rather than filling the gap from general knowledge.
What it does not cover
Bosch Knowledge holds Worcester Bosch literature only, and only what Worcester Bosch currently publishes. Some older models, such as the Greenstar Si, Junior or 24i, have no manual in it.
- Ask about a model it has no manual for and Mucka tells you so, names the nearest manuals it does have, and does not give you another model's figures as yours.
- Ask about another make, such as an Ideal, Vaillant or Baxi, and Mucka tells you it only holds Worcester Bosch manuals. It can look the other make up on the web instead.
