Ask Mucka what is on the paperwork filed against a job and it reads the actual document — the certificate as it was filled in, or the engineer's callslip — and answers from what is on it.
Asking
Just ask in your own words, on any surface:
- "Read me the gas cert for Caroline Ashworth."
- "What were the combustion readings on that boiler service?"
- "Did the tightness test pass at Meadow Croft?"
- "What did Tim write on the Kingston Lane job?"
- "What boiler was it on that Moor Croft job?"
Mucka finds the job, finds the paperwork filed against it, and answers the question you actually asked. Ask it to read the whole thing out and it will; ask one question and you get one answer rather than the full document read aloud.
Certificates
Any certificate you have issued in Mucka — a CP12, an LPG or non-domestic gas safety record, a boiler service record, an OFTEC oil form, an F-Gas leak check — can be read back as it was filled in. That means the appliances and where they are, the makes and models, the heat input, the combustion readings at both rates, every pass, fail or not-applicable with the note the engineer left on it, and the date it is next due.
A fail is read back as a fail. Mucka never softens one, never rounds a reading and never converts a unit — it is a signed document and the office reads these out to landlords and insurers.
Certificates that came across from another system in a migration are a PDF rather than a filled-in form, so there is nothing inside them to read. Mucka will say so and offer to open it.
Callslips and other filed forms
If your jobs come from JobLogic, the engineer's own callslip is read the same way.
That is different from the job notes, which are the brief the office raised the job with — the case reference, what the customer reported. If you ask what someone wrote in their report, Mucka reads the report.
When Mucka cannot answer
It will say so plainly rather than filling the gap:
- The document does not say. If a section was left blank, Mucka tells you it is blank. It never invents a part number or a reading, and it never fills a gap from the job notes or the invoice.
- Photos and signatures. Mucka tells you a document is signed and how many photos are on it, but it cannot describe a photo — it will offer you the job page for those.
- Handwriting it cannot make out. On a scanned form, marked as illegible rather than guessed at — a wrong serial number is worse than a gap.
- Private forms. Anything marked private in JobLogic is never read out.
Asking more than one thing
The first question about a document takes a few seconds while Mucka reads it. Everything after that is instant, because Mucka remembers what the document said. So it is worth asking follow-ups — "what was the CO reading at high rate?", "did he say it needed a return visit?" — rather than opening the PDF.
Who can use it
Anyone who can see the job. Owners and managers can ask about any job; an engineer can ask about jobs they are on, whether they are leading them or second man, and about certificates in their own name.
