Working hours are how Mucka knows when you're working. Set them once and Mucka will watch your location during those hours, fire "leave-soon" warnings before your next job and offer to draft a "running late" text if you're behind. Outside your working hours, Mucka is quiet.
Where to set them
If your owner has turned on the On Time Tracker skill for your team, head to On Time Tracker → Settings and you'll see a row for each day of the week.
For each day:
- Toggle on if you work that day
- Set start and end (defaults to 08:00 to 17:00)
- Toggle off if you don't work that day (weekends, days off)
Hit save and you're done.
What Mucka uses your hours for
During your working hours Mucka:
- Watches your location to calculate ETAs to upcoming jobs
- Fires a gentle pill warning when you should leave soon
- Fires a stronger warning when you should leave now
- Offers to draft a "running ~10 min late" text if you're behind
Outside your working hours none of the above happens. No tracking, no nudges, no pings. Mucka stops watching.
Day off in the middle of the week
If a one-off day off comes up (holiday, sick, school run), don't fiddle with your standard hours. Tap Pause for today on the On Time Tracker page instead. Your normal schedule resumes tomorrow.
Common gotchas
- Doesn't show in the sidebar. If the On Time Tracker menu item isn't in your sidebar, the skill isn't enabled for your team yet. Ask your owner to turn it on in Skills.
- Always-on driving. Setting working hours from 6am to 10pm covers a long shift, but it also means location tracking runs all day. Mucka uses battery-conscious tracking, but the tighter the hours the lower the battery impact.
- Two engineers, same job. Mucka tracks each engineer's own hours and ETAs separately. If you're a lead engineer with a supporting engineer, you'll each get your own warnings based on where you actually are.
- Permission errors. On Time Tracker needs location permission. If Mucka can't see your location, go to your phone settings and grant Mucka the "Always" permission so the tracker works in the background too.
