You can run more than one business from one Mucka login. Each business keeps its own customers, jobs, quotes and invoices, and nothing is shared between them.
Start a new business
Head to Settings → Business → Workspaces and tap New workspace.
- Give the business its name.
- Pick its main trade. Mucka uses this to set up your job types, quote templates and invoice templates.
- Tap Create workspace.
Mucka sets the business up and takes you straight into it to get started. A new business gets the same 14-day free trial as anyone signing up to Mucka.
Switching between businesses
Use the business name at the bottom of the sidebar, or Settings → Business → Workspaces, to move between them. Whatever you do happens in the business you're in at the time. There's more on this in Switch between your businesses.
Good to know
- Your login stays the same. Same email, same password, for every business.
- If you're a subbie, starting your own business doesn't change anything for the firms you work for. Their jobs stay theirs, and they can't see your customers or your work.
- Your firm jobs show in your own diary. In the business you own, the jobs you're booked on for other firms appear in your week as read-only blocks, so you don't book over them. Tap one to open it in that firm. Only you see them; your own staff don't.
- Each business is billed on its own.
- Mucka on WhatsApp works for one business at a time. If your phone's already connected in your other business, you won't be asked to connect it again here. It stays with the business it's in, and you can move it across whenever you like from Settings → Connections → Integrations → WhatsApp with Move WhatsApp here. The other business still reaches you through the app's notifications.
- If you don't carry on after the 14 days, only that business locks. Your other businesses, and any firms you sub for, carry on as normal.
