There's a search box at the very top of the home screen. Tap it and you can get to anything in your workspace without working out which page it lives on first.
Tap it and you'll see what you were just doing
Before you type anything, search shows what you opened last. If you've only just started, it fills the list with the jobs and customers you've worked on most recently, so there's always something there to tap.
Then just start typing
Results appear as you type. The most likely answer sits at the top on its own, and everything else is grouped underneath by what it is — Jobs, Clients, Properties, Certificates, and so on. Tap anything to open it.
It searches your whole file, not just what happens to be loaded on a page. If a customer is your six-hundredth, they still come up.
What it looks through
- Clients — name, company, address, postcode, phone number
- Jobs — what the job is, your notes, and the customer it's for
- Properties — address, postcode, town, whatever you've labelled it
- Certificates — the certificate number, plus the property, customer or engineer on it
- Quotes and invoices — reference number, description, PO number, customer
- Work orders — order number, the agent who sent it, the tenant, the address
- Projects — name and description
- Your team — name, phone, email
- Price list — item name, your own item code, category
Things worth knowing
You don't have to be tidy about it. Type a postcode with or without the space, a phone number with or without the gaps, a certificate number in lower case — it'll find it either way.
You'll only ever see the kinds of thing your role can open. If certificates or the price list aren't yours to see, they won't turn up in your results.
To come back out, tap the ✕ next to the box, or just use back.
On a computer it's the search box along the top of every page, or press ⌘K.
